Dave Bautista, better known as Batista, battled Vince Lucero at CES 12's "Real Pain" at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, R.I., on Saturday night.
He got the victory, but he needs to improve.
In the defense of Bautista, at 265.5 pounds, he was clearly outsized by the 300-pound Lucero (22-22-1).
It showed for the first few minutes of the fight, as Bautista had little offense and took a few hits while against the fence.
Finally, though, Bautista, who admitted to having some debut butterflies, executed a double-leg takedown and finished Lucero with a series of punches in 4 minutes abd 5 seconds, in the first round.
Bautista said after the fight he's "better than I showed."
While he's been training in Tampa with UFC fighter Stephan Bonner and will likely continue to do so, he's not making a new career out of this. He'll fight a few times, maybe get a decent opponent down the line and then be back in WWE for one more run.
Batista won is first MMA match but will he come back to WWe
The China-based pay-per-view company YOU On Demand issued a press release recently to state that Shane McMahon has voluntarily stepped down as CEO. Interestingly, he will stay on as principal executive officer and Chairman of the Board. The news has led many fans to speculate that Shane O'Mac might return to WWE television to get involved in the current "New Corporation" storyline with Triple H, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan.

Mick Foley Comments on Current WWE Championship Storyline
The Hardcore Legend himself, Mick Foley, took to his official Facebook page on Tuesday to address some complaints about the current "New Corporation" storyline with Triple H, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan:
DON'T DO IT, BIG SHOW!
I noticed that there was some negative feedback concerning last night's Raw - some people feel like the Triple H/Orton/Shield faction has assumed too much power, too soon. But let me ask you this: how many of you found yourselves talking to your TV screen..actually TALKING to your TV screens, saying things like "no, Big Show, don't do it!" I know I was..and I don't talk to my screen all that often.
The look in Show's eyes after he KO's Daniel Bryan was just heartbreaking. I believe he, along with Daniel, Punk and Heyman, are all embarking on some pretty deep trips into the human mind. I don't know where these trips will lead, or what they'll find when they get there, but my guess is it's going to make for some captivating television.
Christian Suffers Concussion
Former World Heavyweight Champion Christian suffered a concussion during his match with WWE Champion Randy Orton on the Aug. 26 edition of "Monday Night Raw." In an article on WWE.com, WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann said the following:
"We've pulled him out of all activity," said Amann. "His ImPACT scores are normal, but he's still having some symptoms of fogginess and cloudiness.
"We are waiting for symptoms to get better until we perform an in-ring exertional challenge later this week at the Performance Center in Orlando. At that point, if he's able to get in the ring and exert himself, and work without symptoms, we'll go ahead and clear him [to compete]."
On June 21, Mysterio hinted on Twitter that he hoped to be back by SummerSlam. But it wasn't until Sept. 22 that Rey surprised the WWE Universe when he made a special appearance at a Live Event in Hidalgo, Texas, to give an update on his recovery. WWE fans were shocked as Mysterio, supporting himself with a crutch, said he was aiming to come back to the ring on Oct. 16, when WWE hits Querétaro, Mexico.
Is Rey Mysterio coming back
WWE.com recently spoke with The Ultimate Underdog for an exclusive interview to talk about his injuries, his journey back to the ring and whether this will be Mysterio’s last stand.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts is currently working with Diamond Dallas Page to get healthy and in shape for a return and he has said publicly for months that he wants to return at the 2014 Royal Rumble. Cena's and Sheamus' returns most likely make that impossible.
Goldberg Continues to Shoot Down Rumors of a WWE Return
Former WWE & WCW Wrestler Bill Goldberg continues to shoot down rumors of a return to World Wrestling Entertainment on his Twitter. When a follower asked if Triple H would book a match between himself and The Undertaker in the near future, Goldberg replied, “Not a chance in hell”
